When I went in to look at the WWs the new salesman tried to push the dragon edition on me four separate times. Finally I told him that I have absolutely no interest in the dragon and if he mentions it again I will walk out.

Send them a PM and ask for the discount code. I believe their only requirement is that you have at least 25 posts, which you do.

Razer Northridge, and use the forum discount. 10% off and free shipping.
alleycat14 Since I'm taking everybody's advise on rails. What's the cheaper route to go thru Ace directly, northridge 4x4 or anybody else the cheaper? Thanks, now I'll have to find a man with a grinder and some tools.

Now a '64 Bug, I'd rock that in a heartbeat! Amazing how many of them are still about.
'oozing down the street'...how poetic and perfectly penned. I saw the pic of your Cadillac when you talked about your opinion of MS a while back...glad to know you still have that beaut...talk about one extreme to another (classic Cadillac to new Willys Jeep)...interesting...can't help but like your taste

I thought I paid a lot for mine. 30k. Msrp 32580. Then again it is a special edition. The only other special editions that I see with huge discounts (like 5k off) are the dragon editions.

Goodness no, just old!

Got an old (at the time) 72 Camaro as first car in HS (not a sportscar but I thought it was at the time.) It was auto and I was desperate for a stick, so bought an old 240z 4-speed while still in HS. Had a couple of Miatas, then four Porsches. But I keep all of them a fairly long time -- sometimes they overlap for awhile though. Only one I didn't keep very long was the second Miata. I had the first one for 10 years, and built it into an unstreetable race car eventually. Thought I wanted another one that I could drive on the road, but six months in realized I was done with Miatas, as great a car as they are, and wanted to move on. All but one (first Miata) were silver.

But the Jeeps have been forest green, white, and black.

I did have two Elements for hauling bikes around -- and they were Galapagos Green and Kiwi Green Metallic. So I guess I don't always go bland on the colors.

(Not my photo below -- just realized I don't have any without me in them.)

Thanks for sharing... Your Jeep looks very sharp. Congratulations!!! I wish I went with auto like u though.... Better for off-roading IMO (more control of torque at lower ratios, and a tougher tranny with torque converter)

Huh. Except for one friend here, I don't think I've seen Ace Rails on any other jeeps. I'm usually telling people where I got mine when I see them around town.

As long as they work, that's the important part!

I've seen what they have stood up to, so I feel good about recommending them. They are just solid. For the job they do, they don't disappoint.

1monday NoGaBiker...I actually went to the dealer to look at a used jeep that fit in my budget...but once I saw the willys, decided that eating beans and rice was a small price to pay...definitely no regrets. I must've been at the right place at the right time to find one at the dealership, and it had exactly what i would've ordered on it (no frills). I would've thought i'd see one on the road by now, but I'm not complaining, kinda makes me feel special

While I've never had a silver Jeep, seven of my eight sportscars have been silver, including my first two in high school. So to say that Billet was high on my list is an understatement. LOL, my list looks depressingly similar:

1) Anvil
2) Billet
3) Granite

My one non-silver sportscar was bright red, so Flame would have probably been number 4, but since I was ordering, no need to think beyond the top three.

I'm amazed you found a WW on a dealer lot. I never saw one on a single dealer's lot (visited five around Atlanta), nor, I'm just realizing, have I ever seen a single other WW of any description anywhere. Nor had any of the sales people at the dealer I took delivery from in May.

I have wound up following a cute girl in a black '13 Moab edition to work five times in the last two weeks, literally wind up behind her in heavy stop-and-go traffic and stay there for five miles. At first glance I thought it was a Willys because it has the same all-black Rubi wheels, but they are actually more of a matte finish instead of gloss.

And yesterday I parked next to a Call of Duty Edition Rubi, also fairly rare. But just never seen a Willys.
