JeepCrawler98 It has a timing chain - you'll probably want to replace it; also go through and clean all the connectors and coat them with dielectric grease, and check your water pump. I've got a 120K on mine and it runs as strong (actually probably stronger) than ever.

High Mileage 4cyl TJs

Hello all-
I am considering purchase of a 97 Wrangler with high mileage (like 130K or so). Is there anything in particular I should be aware of with this engine with that kind of mileage?

Does the 4cyl have a timing belt or chain?

Any other advice?
