Those are 16s? So the tire is nominally 34.6. Do you know what it measures out to, on the Jeep? Looks great.

NoGaBiker UB, I will be buying the KM2 in 285/75-17 and mounting on the stockers. Just waiting to wear out the KMs.

As for the spacers, a lot of people are concerned about the extra forces being put on the wheel bearings because the lever arm is now 1.5" longer. And this is completely true. But don't forget the exact same is true of a different wheel with backspacing that puts it out that far. The bearings don't know whether the tires are out there because of a one-piece wheel or because of a spacer and wheel.

So that leaves the inherent safety of wheel spacers. I am no expert. But this is how my 197 mph other car comes from the manufacturer, if you order it with this wheel option. So I'm okay with spacers in concept.

So then you're left with the execution of the spacers. Are they built to exacting standards, so the lug bolts don't pull out? I checked out the main manufacturers on the web and couldn't find any instances of this ever happening. Well, I couldn't find any period, main players or not.

So for me, it's not a concern. I don't even use Loctite, since the spacers are held on the exact same way as the wheels were before I had spacers: a big beefy lugnut on a stud. I never used Loctite on my wheels before, nor have I ever (to my recollection) checked wheel nut torque on any wheel once it was installed, except when I was heading to the track. So I don't see why there's any more likelihood of a lug nut untorquing itself from the stud if it's holding a spacer on than there is if it's holding a wheel on.

But everybody's read on it is different, and I have no problem with anybody who just chooses not to go with spacers.

3. Rigid SR-Q Flush Mount Diffused Back-Up Light Kit (rear bumper)
4. Rigid Red Rock Light Kit with 4 Lights
5. Rugged Ridge A-Pillar 4-Switch Pod
6. OTRATTW Contura V Rockers

Very excited to get this done. The final phase will be the official lift with rims/tires. I actually like the current rims so I've waited to do this last. I'm having a hard time finding the rims I want to use as a replacement. I know I want all black and gloss, similar to stock. Something simple and more military if that's possible. (no I do not want rockstars)

Here's the OEM wheels/tires with 1.5 spacers. I'd like to make the tires taller and a touch wider, and think they'll look great on the wheels.
You know I struggle with the idea. Honestly I have thought about this and gone back and forth. Talked to someone local who knows Jeeps and he recommended I stay away from the spacers. Then I hear from others who say spacers are fine. I want to shoot the lot of you. At this point the cost isn't so much a factor as getting it done right, that's what is important to me. So you haven't purchased the tires you want then right? I would really like to see what you come up with.

Agreed. Don't let the dealer touch those doors!

Problem is you have a plastic parts that have some flex and need some what of a tight fit. Trust me it won't be a long term issue.

I agree. Those pegs adjust to their new home. The trim at the center hole is usually enough to hold it out. That center peg is the shortest. I bet it's hitting the trim and producing the "rocking".
