This is what I did. I originally planned on getting a Trektop NX, but found a brand new premium soft top on Craigslist advertised for $750. I ended up paying $525 and about $75 in old TJ parts I had laying around. Most of the premium soft tops I've seen on Craigslist are going for between $1000 and $1200 (asking prices at least). I just got lucky to find the one I did. Granted I don't have a warranty on the soft top, but saved enough on the top to make it worth it to me.

Like others have said, if you want the soft top too - buy the dual top group. Not only is it cheaper to buy it with your Jeep, but your dealer will be responsible for the soft top warranty which is nice.

I had the same plan, but ended up ordering the dual top so that if I had any problem with the soft top, I could just take it to the dealer under warranty.

the dual package comes with the premium top. The package MSRPs for around 2k. If you buy the premium soft top later it will probably cost you close to 1.5k. I would save some money and order the dual package if you want both.

OK, so why would one pay almost $800.00 more for the package, just buy them separately right? Wrong, the site won't let you do that, one hard or soft or the package. Am I missing something here, aren't both the premium soft top? Order the hard top and then after the Jeep is delivered just order a Premium Soft Top for $400.00? Can you do this or is the price of the Premium Soft Top in the Package a special deal?
There is a regular soft top, and a premium soft top. The price you're seeing of $400 is simply the adder to go from soft top to Premium soft top. Not the actual cost for a premium soft top. I don't recall the price for a std. soft top, but add that to the $400 and you probably have $1200 or so for the premium soft top. That's where your package price comes from.

Mojave Meck Got it, thanks Kneill. Sounded too good to be true. Anyone know how much a OEM Premium Soft will set you back?

The cost of each of the single tops is subtracting at the cost of the standard soft top you are replacing. Because you're getting both tops you need to pay for both.

14blackwetwilly Well wet willy is still at the dealer. They gave us a Hyundai accent. I really miss willy. This car is slightly quieter then willy. Chrysler customer care just called to check about it.

Nice! I'm leaning towards the Quadratecs myself. I've heard good things for the most part.

Heard nothing but good things on Truck Lite, congrats on the install.

Yeah it is. Think since I'm out in the middle of no where and there is no other light contamination the difference really shows through.

ATG Not to pimp my own idea, but, well, yeah...

I would love to see some more Willys representation on here.

I would say if it gets to the point where you have to hold your breath, it isn't a small water problem anymore.
