yjkid95 Also you have to do the front and the rear together. If you only do the rear and leave the front alone DO NOT use 4 wheel drive you will do some serious damage. I'm guessing you'd like to use 4 wheel drive though so front and rear at the same time.

yjkid95 Well then go with 4.88's. 4.56 would not be enough for a 2.5. If it was a 4.0 then yes 4.56's would be fine. It should cost around 500 an axle depending on your area and if you know anyone. It's a really tricky job I wouldn't recommend you do it yourself unless you have experience with regearing.

yjkid95 Regear is the best and only option. Do you have a stick or auto? Depending on which transmission you have youll either want 4.88 gears or the next one up. If you regear properly it will restore the power back to the way it was with the little 205/25r15

33in tires no power

i have 33 inch tires on my 2.5, 4 cylinder 87 yj and it has no power. Is there any way to remedy this and not buy a new motor? if there is Please Help Me.
