BLK00TJ I kept mine out until I had kids. I like it better without it back there.

TjTheo i just pull the seat out when i take my dog out, takes about ten seconds to put it in or take it out after you get used to it.

Laudthelau I thought it would have looked lame without seats, only because I never thought I'd like it. But, the pictures make it actually look super cool. I really like the finished product. Nice!

wolfen Here's my personal opinion of your exhaust paint you like it? if yes that's all that matters

Does look good though.

rginla My golf clubs love the room!!!

Maverick162000 Took mine out right after i bought it and wont be putting it back. As far as letting people ride in the back I would advise not to. To make a long story very short budy got a major consusion, broken arm, and rolled his ankle. As much as I wanted to laugh at him for standing up in the back screaming he is king of the world the end result wasn't pretty. If riding in a jeep moving you need to be straped in.

adkjoe I've had the seat out of my jeep since the day I bought it, that said I don't have kids and I use the space for guns and carcasses and sometimes groceries.
10-11-2010 08:54 AM
cork1958 Hmm?

I kind of knew the seat would fold forward, but hadn't ever done it yet! Do have passengers once in a blue moon, but even at that, it's usually just either the wife or the kid, hardly ever both at same time.

I think it would look goofy without in there at all.

Owen_TJ Nope...been out all day and have liked it so pretty sure i'll be posting it for sale on CL tomorrow

Dont see myself needing it!

If someone needs a ride, they can sit back there no problem! Theres no rear seatbelt law here. I sat in there earlier today and its not uncomfortable at all!

GoldTJ Unless you need to carry passengers back there, lose it!

Nicholson Dogs on top, gear on the bottom.

wolfen The main reason I leave mine in is cause my shed floor is rotted away and theres a pile for everything and nothing in its right pile, until I rebuild the floor, Besides I take it out, my youngest will have it in his tree house in his secret location before I knew it

Owen_TJ Well, i've got the seat out now and so far tday i've loved having it out. I left the mounting hardware and seatbelts in for the time being just in case i want to put it back in, but so far that doesnt seem likely!
10-10-2010 09:25 PM
dutch169 Why not fold it forward and secure it. It will give you more room for the dogs and cargo and also if you do need it its their.
10-10-2010 09:14 PM
rk maxxus Took mine out about 5 years ago when my boys go old enough to drive their own jeeps. I won't put it back in until grand kids show up.
10-10-2010 08:25 PM
wolfen Mine goes in and out too, it even slides around and pops out of the brackets when its in the up position, so I got me a washer and a piece of tube I'm testing before I weld the two together, just to see if it will hold the seat in one place and stop it from sliding side to side
10-10-2010 07:07 PM
jforse Mine didnt have a seat when I bought the Jeep. I had a kid and had to find one to toss in the back. When I go wheelin I take it out and put my tools in.
10-10-2010 03:55 PM
Bruck I have kids...Have to keep it.
10-10-2010 03:46 PM
Jerry Bransford I haven't had a back seat in my TJ in 5 years and I don't miss it. The extra room for my back seat area storage box is a godsend. The below shows the back of my '97 that was stolen earlier this year but my '04 has a similar large storage box minus the Tuffy sliding security drawer (which I miss) underneat it.

Wrangler pickup?

jpg103 I've never had the rear seat in. Have a dog bed in it's place instead.
10-10-2010 01:17 PM
InvertChaos I'd take it out if you never use it. I just took mine out today so I could have more cargo room. I'm an average build and I can handle carrying it by myself with no problem. Compared to our '97 Ford Expedition it is a cake walk to take the seat out and put it back in.

scotiez I finally removed mine also. No one has ever sat in the back seat, and I always had to flip it to haul groceries or what ever i needed to put back there. So i put a shelf in the garage, wrapped it in plastic, and there it sits. I won't put it in unless i sell my jeep, which i doubt that will ever happen.
