andres0101 Ok great yes I did not buy the fifth lol ill try looking for min used one just to
Match the cars look... I'll post pics in about 20 min after they install them thank u for ur help

InfernoGirl Yes, but if you can find any old used 31, I'd do that, cause if you replace one tire, you'll need to replace 2, so why spend a bunch extra to have it hang on the tailgate? Some have mentioned that the wear on the original 4 makes it hard or impossible to work the 5th into the rotation... I guess some of that depends on the type tires you get tho', mudders being softer....

andres0101 One last question if I buy 5 can I still mount the new tire to the back? Without any mods?
10-12-2010 01:47 PM
InfernoGirl Well, like I said, I'd run with a GPS first and see how far off you truly are. Speedo gears don't cost that much and they are pretty quick (10 minutes) to replace. But if you're lazy like me, you just gotta remember when the speedo says x you're really going y... and your calculations for figuring mpgs will be off some too, if it's not correct.

andres0101 215/75-15 lol so I shouldn't spend money on gear / odo adjustment?

What size stock tires... 31's are stock for a TJ Rubicon.... After you install them, run with a GPS, you'll probably be dead on. Right now you may be running slower than you think.....

InfernoGirl What size are you currently running/going to? If it's close to stock sizes, then you probably don't need to change anything. Even if it isn't you don't have to change anything, you just need to remember some stuff....

andres0101 I'm getting mine this week but ppl have told me that I should get a gear/odometer with the right conversion so that the odometer reads correctly does anyone know about this?
10-01-2010 11:15 AM
InfernoGirl You can fix the rub, with a couple of washers on the steering stops, no need for new wheels....

nugget13 How bad is it tho?

Mitchellb I run the same tire on mine. With factory wheels they do scrub if you turn the wheel all the way, but It's not too bothersome. If you can get proper backspacing though, go for it.

Tires

Will the BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO's fit on my 06 X without a lift? Will I need to fix the backspacing or are they good to go?
