if you're letting it warm up enough then how much fuel is in the tank? if its low then that empty space is made up of air which has water in it and you can guess what happens from there. i hope this helps

Matcheen Mine does that too, but it's a 4.2 and it's bc it hasn't warmed up and the choke is still closed....Probably different in a FI, but maybe bc you're not warmed up like 6inarow said.

6InARowMakesItGo are you letting it warm up before you drive away?

CJS98TJ Distributor cap/coil wire. May want to replace plugs and lines too just to make sure you fix it all the way mine did the same thing.

Sputters when on the gas

ok so recently it has been geting fairly cold at night and early morning up her in yooper land, when i get up and head into school as the sun is rising starts perfectly fine back out of the drive way onto the road, driving down the road put it into gear and when u put it on the gas i get that sputter/boging out give it some more gas goes away shift into second same thing then goes away after i get about 100 yrds down the road nothin in the rest of the gears. so the question is water in the gas line? idk just a question to ask if any one else has had anything similar, only noticed it when it started gettin down in the 30s at night
