A Rubi is just fine, up to a 4" lift. You can keep your skid plate in it's normal position, because it already has the the correct rear drive shaft. It does not have the slip yoke. So my recommendation is a suspension lift, keeping your skid plate at factory level, giving you so much more articulation than a lame BB, and the sort. Spend your money wisely, and have a awesome Rubi. Ya get the drift?........ Don't fool around with anything less. You will be glad you did the for mentioned lift........
That is the minumum I would invest in. If our Rubi was our only jeep, I would have gone with the 5.5" long arm kit. But alas, I built something even more incredible, a YJ, to be exact. Which will kick any Rubi's arse............

I went with the FT 3" lift, BL, MML and 33's first and am saving up for the TT. Since I know I will need a CV shaft and upper adjustable control arms with it. About $1K by the time you get done with that.
I use the lift and taller tires to keep my low hanging tummy out of trouble til I can afford a tuck.
I am going either with the Medic tummy tuck or the 33 Engineering one. Haven't decided which one yet, but I still got a few months to figure it out

Anything over 2" susp is likely going to need TB adjustments. Either with a replacement TB, adj TB or, or TB brackets. This kind of depends on you though. I hate having the axles off center.
The Rubi, having a longer T-case (shorter drive shaft), is less forgiving with lifts. Chances are, with a 2" BB and a TT (~4" total), you "may" need to go with a CV DS and upper adj control arms in the rear. YMMV.
I too prefer coils over a BB. The FT 3" is fairly complete (coils, trackbar, brackets, discos, bumpstops). All you would need is shocks. That being said a BB is not a big loss to recoup and can be a good first step and a TT is one of the best mods you can do. With a Rubi, go for the JeepMedic hands down.

I thought about just doing a lift/bl/mml/tummy tuck but I am kinda broke I was trying to get 33s under it correctly, but not run up my credit cards thats all I am kinda of check to check after my car note and insurance, school loans etc.
Ah well, it was worth a shot. Just for shiatz and giggles, what would a Rubicon need for 3" lift, BL, MML and tummy tuck? Same as any other TJ (adj. track bar, rear relocation bracket, adj UCAs, new drive shaft etc. etc. etc.....) or can I get away with more than say an X?

As said if you do the tummy tuck its best to do the BL and MML. Not all tummy tucks require it but some suggest it. I am running the 3" FT, JKS 1.25" BL and JKS 1" BMML with 33's and have not had a single problem with my dealer as far as warranty. But I did make sure my dealer was mod friendly before I bought the Rubi there.
You wheels (if stock Moabs) have a 5" backspacing and will let you run some 285's with very little problems or rubbing (maybe a washer behind the steering stop) but that will depend on what tire you choose. I have the Mickey Thompson MTZ (285/75/16) on a rim with 4.5" backspacing and the still rubbed just a little at full turn. So with Moabs you would need a spacer to run that type of tire. If you just ran a BFG Mall Terrain KO you could run a 285 without issues.
As far as a recommended tire I would go with one of the siped mud tires. They do better on the road then regular mud tires and just as well if not better off road. Something like a MT MTZ, Cooper STT or Toyo Open Country.

Lifting a Rubicon
So since I might be rocking Scouts top, I suppose my Rubi cant stay stock.
Warranty is an issue, So I was thining BB, maybe a Tummy Tuck. My idea was 2"BB+shocks, TT and 33s. If I can clear 31s now, I can clear 33s with 2 more inches right?
If I do need a BL to clear, will the MML void warrnty?
What else does a Rubicon need with a BB and 33s, other than shocks? What about with a TT? I am deffinatly not the dropping tcase skid,thats not an option.
EDIT: whats my backspacing on the rubicon wheels? Am I gonna need spacers? What tire size should I be looking at? (Mud/Hill climbs)
