I may be looking at this slightly different, but I think you will notice a decent increase over your current spacer setup. Your spacers actually only give 1.75" of lift while the OME springs are actually 2.5" and generally start out even taller than that.
I think that is enough to change the geometry of your suspension even a little. The OME kit generally causes enough shift to require the rear trackbar bracket to line everything back up. I agree with everyone else though, the MML would be a great route to take to avoid a tcase drop, which you would likely need after installing the OME coils.
I am not trying to split hairs here, but the OME coils will give you more lift than you currently have.

|Jerry Bransford||Don't expect much ride quality difference Dan. The shocks are mostly responsible for ride quality, not the springs. And your Skyjacker Nitro shocks are notorious for having an extremely (!) stiff ride. You will need to swap to a better riding shock absorber to get a better ride.|

|dan188||thanks for the confirmation Jerry. I am looking forward to the swap since every review I've read says that the OME springs are great on-road and off. My rig spends 90% of the time on pavement so I am looking forward to a softer ride. I only see trails once or twice a month|

|Jerry Bransford||There are no geometry or other types of changes that will occur by changing from 2" spring spacers to 2" taller springs, so long as you do not also reinstall the 2" spacers on top of the 2" taller springs. Swap the springs and that is all you'll need to do. No need for a motor mount lift, t-case drop, etc..|

|dan188||I only ordered the springs, so that's all I'm getting. I was thinking of the MML just to be safe. Is that a big job? I have an engine lift at home and a ton of tools, and I'm guessing you just hoist up the engine, disconnect the stock motor mounts and replace them with bigger ones then tighten it all down?|

|530ktm||If you have the body lift did you put in a 1 inch MML as well? This will always help the drive line angle so you do not need to lower the transfer case. OME kits should come with the rear track bar relocation bracket as well but since you are not getting the shocks you may want to check into this part.|

|Mortalis5509||IMO, essentially you wouldn't need to change anything bc you are retaining your current ride height by using springs instead of spacers. You would probably benefit from a trackbar relocation and either longer end links or disconnectes.|

switching from 2" spacers to OME springs, advice needed!
Currently I have the skyjacker 2" spacers and nitro shocks along with a 1" body lift. Everything works well with no driveline issues or vibrations. However, I don't really like the spacers and my TJ is a 98 so the front springs are sagging a little. Plus, I've added weight with after market front and rear bumpers etc. My questions are:
1. I just ordered the springs only, from Quadratec. I don't think I need shocks since my nitros are still good. Thoughts?
2. I don't have a TC drop now, and I'm assuming that I won't need one with the new springs since the jeep won't be lifted any higher than it is now... If I do get vibrations I can always space out the TC. Not a big deal.
3. Do I need anything other than the springs to make this work? Such as a track bar relocation kit or extended sway bar end links? Again, I am assuming no since everything works ok now, and I'm not really gaining any height here, but tell me if I'm wrong.
