RatherBNarizona like they said, I would shoot for a YJ, 6 cylinder, with a 2 or 3 inch lift

tcarnal oh then no. my wrangler will simply be a weekend/summer vehicle.

XJ Knight That would be Daily Driver.. So basically it means it's your main form of transportation on a daily basis

whiteyj DD is a "Daily Driver". For that kind of money you should be looking at a nice YJ. Lots of room to play with the YJ. 2-1/2" lift and 31" tires or a 4" lift and 33's. Definitely look at the in-line six 4.0L.

tcarnal I'm going to say my budget is anywhere up to 3500-4000. I was thinking a 2 inch lift. What exactly is a DD?

RatherBNarizona Can I ask what your budget is? Is it going to be a DD? How big of a lift do you want to go?

Looking to buy a jeep when I graduate college

Hey guys,

New to the site but not new to jeeps. My household has had two jeeps in my life, the most recent being a 1993 Wrangler S, automatic. I am looking for help on what should I look for and what not to look for and what not to look for when buying. I am definitely going to buy used and am leaning towards 1993-1997 Wranglers. I am also interested in upgrading my jeep when i get it. Any advice on tires, lift kits, headlights, and hard and soft body covers would also be very appreciative.

Thanks,
Tyler C.
