Need help with buying a new used truck

Well I got transferred to a work location that's further away. 20 miles each way.

Jeep gets 11 mpg highway.

Need a daily driver.

Looking at a 1992 Chevy s10 90,000 miles $1,500

Or a 1996 ford ranger 78,000 3,500

Any input guys..
