iLion I tried to order Wrangler Sport S in Granite (with manual tranny and tons of S options), but not happening this time around apparently (9/2014). What a disappointment. I am very stuck on granite, so am looking for a one yr old or last yrs on lot somewhere. I'm totally obssessed with this, so if there is one out there... I will find it!

Sucker Punch What kind of miles have you all put on your granite jeeps? I've go a little more than 8,600 miles on mine since I picked it up October 31st 2013.

Taking the Jeep on it's first beach trip in October

Same here about the road noise, etc. Couldn't tell any difference. I think I had a little less than 5,000 miles when I rotated mine. I went ahead and paid for the lifetime rotate and balance at discount tire. I'm gonna try to rotate them every 3500 to 5000 miles to keep all the tread wear as even as possible on all 5 tires.

Granite Rooster I did my rotation yesterday.. put about 100 miles on it today. No excess road noise or tire bump. Tires were brand new when installed and did the rotation at about 5k miles. 315/70R17 duratracs

Sucker Punch Got them rotated and balanced today. Looking forward to seeing how the 5 tire rotation will work out in the long run. Took it to a local Discount Tire and met a couple Jeepers that work there.

Yes... I do (5) tire rotations just like your picture. I believe it allows everything to wear evenly. I did it with my old YJ too. Good luck!

Mweaver1 Ok I'm a newbie and just recently (1 month ago) traded in my 14 X3 for a 14 granite crystal metallic JKURX. Today I just brought her home after getting wheels and tires. Last week I put on a 2.5" BDS suspension lift.

Before and after photos attached. What do you all think? I think it turned out nice. The wheels are Worx Beast 803's with 285/70r17 Dick Cepek Fun Country tires.

Man, I would love to take the Jeep out west some day and drive thru the mountains! Creek crossings in the Jeep = Fun.

photos from Ouray trip last week

Already planning another trip there next year. with no lift and after market skid protection, there were trails that would have torn up my fenders, etc. Great trip though.

Exactly .... that is why I am thinking about them. I may have misled you by saying "for easier entry". By that I mean, the subtle protrusion of the Rubi Rails will allow my leg more clearance as I step from ground directly into the floor in the cab. A more aggressive rail will protrude out more, and would hinder my leg's motion.

I won't be doing vicious rock crawling but I will be doing trails and water (mud) ... so I'm hoping that the subtle protrusion of the Rubi Rails might be just enough to deflect smallish pebbles and debris, and door dings at the Mall, from chipping the paint. Also, I like that they cover the "pinch seam" for a tighter appearance.

I tried to juxtapose the image of your lifted Rubicon with an image of my lifted Sport. We each have 3.5 inch lifts and 35-inch tires. The biggest discernible difference are the fenders and rims. You have the stock Rubi rails, which I've been thinking about (Sport comes without rails) for easier entry (I'm not getting steps).

I have added Rubicon rims and tires plus a 2" lift as well.

It's the SC ( regular Bilstein 5100). I've been told the RC ( remote reservoir 5100 kit) rides identical, and is only practical if you do a lot of high speed dirt road driving. I don't.... I figure I can always switch down the road, but I am VERY happy with how it rides and handles in its current state. AEV really nailed it with this kit IMHO.

I used the 1.5" spidertrac spacers. Everything fits perfectly.

Yeah man, I am really happy with the cobra75 and cooltech mounts. I don't use the cb all that often (only used it twice since I installed it), but it works awesome when with a group of Jeepers.
