with my "long" D44 rear axle i needed to drop the TC (i had driveline vibes) with only 2" of lift.
with a rear D35 3" would be ok.

Yeah, it sounds like I'm gonna do the FT lift instead of the BB/BL/MML. I can always add the 1" BL at a later date if I need that inch of clearance for tires. Full Traction says that with their 3" lift I should be able to clear 33" tires. Should I believe them, or should I plan on getting that BL? Ideally, I want to run 33's because this TJ is my daily driver and I want it to be semi-practical. I know that if I go any higher with a lift, I'm turning over some pretty expensive proverbial rocks. Thanks for everyone's advice so far.....

i would go 2" lift
and bl this would mean not as many driveline problems
but first check to see if you have any sag, if you have 3/4in. of sag then a 3 in. lift with new coils will get you a 3.75 in lift from right now and be a better choice

|mrbigjeep||do the full traction with OME.|

i installed a BB and BL in my TJ when i bought it last year.
some weeks ago i drove a friends TJ with an OME suspension. on that way i noticed how uncomfortable and stiff my TJ was.
now an OME lift is on the way to me.
also cheaper lift kits are better than the stock suspension with spacers on top oif the springs. like this one: click me
i would never install a BB again.
i thought that my jeep's handling is good until i drove another jeep with a "real" suspension lift.
"do it once, do it right"

Full Traction Econo or BB/BL?
I'm looking at getting around 3" of lift for my TJ. I'm also debating whether or not to go with a 3" Full Traction Economy System, or a BB with a 1" BL/MML. Any advice? I'm leaning towards the 3" FT because it seems pretty complete, minus the shocks, which is cool. It comes with front/rear springs, adj. front track bar, front discos, extended rear swaybar links, rear trackbar relocator, bump stop extensions, TC lowering kit, brakeline ext. brackets. All of this, minus shocks, comes to $450 Not too bad. Throw in some OME shocks at $80 each and it seems like I'm done. Has anyone else run this lift? What are the advantages of this lift over the BB/BL/MML? Are there any? I've done a search, and haven't come up with any concrete advice. I'm in the Army and I'm on a serious budget, so I can't get all crazy with the checkcard. If anyone has some advice for me, let me hear it.....
PS....if anyone has anything they'd want to sell that's used, let me know, too.....JC
