Here check this out:
You can cold-chisel the old nutsert out though it's easier with an air tool. Then spot weld an insert you can get from Grainger into the hole.

|rubicon hobby||Welcome to skid plate 101 the nut is pressed in the frame and has probably rusted and broken loose. I had to cut the head off the same bolt then you can get a weld nut from Grainger or McMaster-Carr and weld it in or try to find some other way to hold a nut from the inside. Yes it sucks but we all go through it sooner or later I grease all the bolts before install now with Marine grease Good Luck.|

Skid Plate Removal
Removing my skid plate to get to my transmission...
5 of the 6 bolts came out with some PB, a touch of torch, and a cheater bar
the 6th bolt, front passenger side, is more or less spinning without coming out
I am picking up my jack tonight from a buddy, but I have this fear that the threads are spinning inside the frame itself, anybody experience this before?
