Hostile JEEP T.J Hella 500FF is what I have on my front bumper and I love them!! I replaced the factory bulb that came with them for the new xenon bulbs that autozone started carrying, only downfall is you really can't run them on road because it made them super bright and too many ppl flash me to turn them off. But offroad shit they light the trails up!!

OregonTJ Yep, my 100watt, 6"ers cost $26 each. Cheap to replace if needed..........look just like KC's.....

KeeblerKO I've got 6"ers on my window mounts and 5"ers down low on the bumper. 5" looks about right for my tastes. I gave a buddy a set of 7" Daystar lights I got for free once and he put them on his window mounts. Waaaay too big.

I kinda wince though when you mention putting KC's exposed out there on the front bumper. If you do any sort of regular wheeling bumper lights have a tendancy to be the first thing whacked off on the trails. Low/fallen branches love 'em.

All my accessory lights are Pilot's from AutoZone. Nice and cheap to replace.

Speed94 Just a bit of advice...I run foglights on my bumper and I never thought about this when I purchased, but most foglights are not submersible. I found this out crossing what used to be a street, but due to flooding was a river at the time. Foglights took in a lot of water. They still worked, but there was water in the case. I'm now looking for a waterproof foglight for down low and going to move my Hella 500FF's on top of the winch tube

monkeee2002 I'm pretty sure the Apollo series is all 55watt. Some of the other KC's (and other brands) are higher - 100w, even 130w.
If you intend to run them on pavement, check your local regulations, many 'off-road' lights are not legal to run on pavement.
If you haven't already, you may want to check on this thread. It was only started a few days ago, so there isn't a lot of info there yet.

99white4.0 I have the Hella 500's mounted on my hood. I never use them on the highway but they light up the woods like no other along with my high beams

KC Lites on my TJ Need Advice!!!

I have a red '06 TJ and I'm looking to put some KC lites on my factory bumper.

I've found the "Apollo series" and right away I was attracted to them because of the price. why are they so much cheaper than the rest? what do you guys recommend?? Also I like the look of the long range style... will that be to bright for just on the road/hwy? Finally what size would you guys recommend? 5" seems right but I can't find a stone guard for it??

*All suggestions welcome!!!

Thanks!
