RoadiJeff Also, since you are the original owner, you can get a free hard copy of the owner's manual. Call Jeep Customer Service at 1-877-426-5337 to request a copy. You'll have it in a few days via UPS.

Or just click the link: Order Free Wrangler Owner's Manual

debbiehouska Ok. I check out your link. I only got a owners guide. Not much information in it. Thank you very much.

Yes it does. It is on pages 26-27 of your owner's MANUAL, not the owner's guide. However, the procedure to disable the horn is exactly like it is described above.

debbiehouska Yes I tried that several time. The only thing the manual showed was how to get the lights to flash. Nothing about the horn. I googled it & tried the steps you suggested. Didn't work.

Hardermods Did you do it just like the owners manual says? hold the lock button then after 4 seconds, push the panic, then release both?

For vehicles not equipped with the EVIC, perform the following steps:

Press the RKE transmitter LOCK button for 4 to 10 seconds.

While the LOCK button is pressed (after four seconds), press the RKE transmitter PANIC button. Release both buttons.

Horn honking when I lock my doors

I bought a 2014 jeep wrangler unlimited today. It doesn't have evic. I am trying to figure out how to turn off he horn when I lock my doors. I tried the method of holding the lock button the the panic button. No luck. Anyone have any suggestions?
