stuck in four low

I have already inspected the linkage. I even disconnected them and found that the armature/lever on the transfer case will not drop down.

jeepjones Check the linkage from the 4wd shifter to the T case. That will be where the problem lies.

2001 Jeep Wrangler Clutch Replacement

I just changed the clutch in my 2001 Jeep Wrangler not because it was bad, but because the throw out bearing disintegrated. After the grueling process, got it all back together and the transfer case won't shift out out 4 low. Is it because a small amount of case fluid leaked out during the operation, was I not supposed to turn front or back drive shafts (someone said I was supposed to mark them) or could it be something else???
