Had the same issue with my disconnects. Used a pickle fork and a puller plus a big hammer to pop them free....

The factory links can be a pain to get out of the swaybar. A few things you can try...first..a 3lb hammer works nicely, give it some good wacks. You can try a pickle fork to remove them at the joint.
As for the swaybar bushings...you can cut the head off of the bolt to remove it then install a nutsert into the factory hole and reinstall the new bushings.

quick disconnect install & removing front sway bar
I just put a 2" budget lift (3" coils up front & 2" spacers in the rear) on my 97 TJ so I decided to get some quick disconnects. They seem to be a pretty straightforward install; HOWEVER, I'm running into a couple snags.
1st snag - at the end of the sway bar (where the new quick disconnects will attach) are the things with the bolt on the top end and the ball on the bottom (sorry, I don't know the names of some of these parts). How in the &^%$ do you get this thing off?!? I sprayed some PB Blaster on it and still not budging.
Sooo, when I couldn't get those things off I decided to take the entire sway bar off. I figured I would replace the sway bar bushings while it was off.
This brings me to the 2nd snag - of the two bolts (the front and rear) that attach the bushings/sway bar to the frame, the rear ones have nuts inside the frame that are spinning as I turn the bolts. I'm not having any luck getting a wrench inside the frame.
