Redz72 Where in NYC are you? My buddy Scott and I have installed a few different lifts on his JK (I have a TJ which We installed lifts on as well, And have another lift on order). we are located in central Jersey, Princeton to be specific. We could help you out with the install and learn as you go. Thats how we learned. Thats the great thing about Jeeps. PM me if you are interested. I have most, if not all of the tools needed.

Lift Install Help

I am in NYC and dont really know how to ask this appropriately so forgive me. I was hoping to learn/participate in installing a lift on my 2011 JK.

I am not "new" to jeeps...I had a TJ about 12 years ago. I was younger and made the mistake of paying someone to install all my mods. Now times have changed and I want to learn/understand. I am interested in learning how to install a lift on my new JK. Obviously I would want to do it with people that have good experience. Any help would be great. I look forward to hearing from you guys.

I have done a bunch of research and have decided what I want to do:

TeraFlex 2.5" Lift Kit with Shock Adapters Teraflex 1352000 - TeraFlex 2.5" Lift Kit with Shock Adapters for 07-10 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec
TeraFlex Adjustable Trackbar 1753418 - TeraFlex Monster HD Fordged Front Adjustable Trackbar for 07-10 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK with 0-6" Lift - Quadratec
TeraFlex Front Lower FlexArms Teraflex 001653700 - TeraFlex Monster Front Lower FlexArms for 07-10 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec
TeraFlex Rear Upper FlexArms Teraflex 001654800 - TeraFlex Monster Rear Upper FlexArms for 07-10 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

I dont know if there is anyone out there that wants to do an install with me. I have no tools or space. I am looking for someone experienced, becuase I REALLY want to LEARN and understand along the way. I figure if I am part of it, I will appreciate the mods and their capabilities a lot more. Also, if there is ever an issue, I will know what it is and (hopefully) how to fix it. Anyways, if there is someone out there that would do a weekend meet-up (me driving to you or wherever we need to meet for tools, space, etc.) and has all the tools, I will bring the beverages and buy lunch!

Thanks!

Michael
