TJ turbo piping seem preatty simple because of the way they are designed and again i havent done research on 2.5 but for the 4.0 a pipe goes under the engine so it connects after the stock manifold/headers and it leads to the other side of the engine and the turbo stays there.. (I still wonder why 4.0s are build with the exhaust and intake manifold on same side.. thats the stupidest design i've seen yet.)

JCS05Rubi Not really much you can do that wont cost a whole lot. If I were in your boat, id deal with the 4cyl.

Trust me, Jeep payments and paying for high gas prices right now is not fun..

foxinthemudd ya thats what I was thinking about last night. I got the Idea from my dad yesterday morning when he called me and mentioned that I could probably make some reasonable profit off it. but I'm enjoying it for now and it has really low miles for the year. so I don't know but I would like to get more power out of the engine so if anyone has any other suggestions other than the ones that are gonna cost an arm and a leg to put on I'm all ears.

4Jeepn Two factors that stand out. Your current jeep is paid for, and gas is 3.40 gal. Unless you can pay cash for the new jeep I would keep the old one as paying a jeep payment and high gas right now would not be something I would want if I had to pickk.

Triple88a I'd turbo it.. wont lower mpg much nor add the weight of a 4.0 and since you say yours is preatty new it should be good match

Supercharger will lower mpg more but will give you more lower end torque...

foxinthemudd ya I know I'm just turning the Idea over right now, I'm really torn right now cause its paid off and now that gas prices are on the rise (3.40+ approx. in oregon), and I still haven't done gears or anything. I dono.

bluvikng If you are wanting more power-torgue, the I-6, would be your best choice. Sell the 4 banger, and be happy.

debruins go to edmunds.com and price it under used car appraisals
then add about 1k to it and put it in the ads

4.0l sahara If you want more power then get a nice jeep with a 4.0. The 4.0 is a good engien and if well maintained it could last 300,000+ miles.It should outlast a 2.5.

to sell or not to sell?

ok so less than a month after buying my TJ I'm thinking about selling it to exchange it for a newer one with the 4.0L, 03+. I bought it for 5k and put about 850 into it so far. what do you all think? I'm just trying to get an Idea of how much they go for an average price that others are seeing around. I know around me they are selling for around 10K, but all the ones I've seen have about 130k in mileage on them, while mine only has about 79K.
