I wonder if its because my seat is up further. I have a 13 shoe size but only a 30" inseam. If the seat was all the way back I would be ok but then I wouldn't be comfortable.

I tried taking off the pocket but its all molded together. I'd have to cut it to make it work. I looked at the 2011 door panel but it seems its been changed a great deal.

DelRocini Yea. I wear a 14 or 15 (depends on the shoe). I don't have a problem with the door. However, there is a little plug thingy above the clutch lever that I kick with the top of my shoe. What is it and can it be moved?

JustJoe I suffer from the same lame design issue, which they fixed in the 2011 by replacing with a flat net. I am going to the dealership for the j31 recall and was going to get the part number from Jeep and see if I can order it. I can't believe they changed the hole pattern while the body stayed the same.

banditman I just went out and looked at mine, I would think that you could cut it off and cover with a piece of diamond plate aluminum cut to the same shape and painted grey. I like them because it is a good place to keep the door wire connector when taking the doors off.

Rubey84 Im new to jeeps also and having large feet like yourself (size 15) ive run into the same problem. I havent really figured out anything to fix it but others here could probably offer some insight. for the most part ive just gotten used to it and position my feet differently when i exit.

Front door pocket removal?

Hello all,

I purchased my first jeep ever a month ago and love it. I have a 2010 Jeep wrangler 2 door mountain version hard top. I have run into an odd situation. I have rather large feet, size 13, and getting in and out of the jeep can sometimes be a pain.

The tip of my shoes gets hung up on the door pocket when I swing my legs out. Is there a way to remove the door pocket and replace it with something that is flat like the rest of the trim along the bottom of the door?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

p.s. this is my first post
