MTD_1967 Just got my 3rd oil change (15k) done on my 2010 Sahara, manual transmission. Vast improvement in HP and low end! Amazing. They also performed the rrt 10-066 flash.

ESP "performance flash?" hmmm....something smells fishy like it should have read "were fixing it flash".

zaitcev My buddy with 2010 Rubi with MANUAL TRANSMISSION is going in for the reflash, got a call. He is clueful, I'll get him to discover the details. I have an identical 2010 but with auto, haven't got a call or a letter yet (we're in different cities though). So it's definitely not the auto's HOTOIL thing. I had HOTOIL done BTW. They sent a letter, it was a proper recall (or "satisfaction campaign").

Also, the letter (before the call?) contains this:
Quote:
According to our records, you are the owner of a 2010 Wrangler that is eligible for Jeep's new RRT-10-066 performance flash FREE OF CHARGE. This performance flash is a necessary update directly from Jeep, and will increase performance in your vehicle.
This is the code that Seadog mentioned above.

Kspike Mine is 2010 manual tranny. Dealer is Stuart bowman in asheboro. Very quick but have to wait a couple of weeks before I can get emissions tested.

Kspike O.k.......TCM and OBD having something to do with oxygen sensor. Have had zero problems before this, hope this doesn't jinx me.

Kspike I went in for oil change on Friday and they flashed my ECU for some kind of pressure reading which could cause the check engine light to come on. Sorry for not having details, don't have the paperwork handy. At any rate, it is not a recall, just a service bulletin. I have a 2010 bought in April.
10-26-2010 07:38 PM
seadog I just had this done on my 2 week old JK. Had a problem with the wipers and they did the ECU mod at the same time. Official code is "RRT10-066" in the Mopar system. Not sure what it did exactly, but I'm sure some snooping could get the answers.

On the plus side, it put me in "VIP" status and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes, with a new wiper switch, to boot. And, I was nice enough not to keep the "Craftsman" ratchet that the tech left in my Jeep.

OOPPSSS,, LOL I would go with the tranny flash update. I heard that some people are getting the tranny recalls for some of the early 2010's, mostly Nov-2009 to May-2010 JK Wranglers " 2010" Models " Approx".

PHX Sounds like they're reflashing an ECU. I don't have an automatic tranny, so I don't know if it has an ECU, too. Otherwise I would guess it's the engine ECU.
