You would be better off with one of these. Better product and warranty. You would have to get shocks but well worth the difference in product quality.

PM me if you would like more information on cost of these or the other kits you're looking at.

|cedarcreekjerky||Or would 4" Value Flex Suspension Lift by Skyjacker and Other Jeep Parts and Jeep Accessories by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware-RH1 be the better deal?|

Im leaning towards 3" Suspension System by 4Wheel Drive Hardware® and Other Jeep Parts and Jeep Accessories by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware-RH1
Its the 3" kit put together by 4wd.com. Is there any other items i will end up needing? Does this seem like a decent kit for the price to you guys?

You might want to look at something like this if you don't care for your current springs.

|Gate53||Stick to the 2-3 inch and most of your problems will never happen. That's plenty to get 33's under and way under 1000. Spend the rest on mods you find you "need" once you are more familiar with what will benefit your type of wheeling. JMO|

|cedarcreekjerky||I will be doing it myself. This will be the first i have lifted. I came from the lowerd scene and have lowered an f150 and a toyota pickup. (you guys can act like you never read that last sentence). What kind of lifts are you guys running with 33"? Its just going to be played in mildy offroad as of now. The stock springs feel really wornout which is why i dont want to just use the spacers.|

|straight muddin||yea i have a 2000 jeep wrangler and i have 33" mickey thompson baja claws and its only lifted 2-3 inches|

|unlimitedT06||You don't need to go 4" to fit 33's.|

|straight muddin||are you doing it your self or are you getting it done by someone else.?|

|cedarcreekjerky||I picked the 97 4 cyl heep up for $2800 and dont want to spend a ton on a small lift. If im going to buy a nice lift i would rather get a lil nicer jeep to justify spending that much on. But i would like to get a set of 33"s under this at a decent price. What lifts and parts would you guys recommend. I would like to stay close to $1000 because i plan on having gears changed out shortly after putting lift on. Also with these smaller lifts will i need to worry about longer brake lines or shifters binding?|

As MCE Mike said, be prepared to spend more to do it right. PM if you need more help.

I don't have experience with Skyjacker so can't comment on that. But with 4" of lift, be prepared to also dish out $$ for an SYE and CV driveshaft as well as adjustible control arms (either uppers or lowers) for the rear.
Tom Wood has a nice Advanced Adapters SYE conversion (heavy duty 32 spline) and CV drivline combo for $525, for example. Now factor in ~$250 + or so for adjustible uppers.
Some folks get away with a 4" lift and just a T-case skid spacer, but some don't. Mine did not, it needed an SYE.

I know there are tons of threads on here about lifts but this will be my first lift and need some advice. Im thinking about getting the skyjacker 4" "value flex" lift and was wondering if that is a decent choice. Also what all extra goodies will i need also? I would like to keep it around $1000 or less. Any recomendations will be appreciated. Thanks
