Wouldnt change a thing
First off I will take a few shots of the Res shocks.. I had them mounted differently at first then went to a side by side.. [ looks cooler and no issue on the trails]
I would not change a thing .. this is the best set up jeep I have ever built .. it took me 5 other jeeps builds to get to this ride and handling. It works far better than stock on road and an extreamly impressive off road feel and function.
The control arms look weird to me as well as the AEV offset [ would have preferred my tires sticking a bit further out from the jeep .. gives it a stocky look] .. but thats just looks... the performance far exceeds the way the control arms "looking weird" and tires not sticking out another inch.
Ill post some pics this weekend alond with my Break covers .. they should be here Friday.. I am very happy with the build so far ..

Now that you've had your Jeep for close to 4-5 months, what do you think of your set up? Is there anything you would change or do differently?
I am getting close to doing mine soon and its pretty much going to have 95% of the same components as yours.

does your X Hood pool like the mass-production AEV hood? i might switch, cant stand the "bird batch hood"

Nice work on the center caps, they came out looking very good! Great attention to detail.
In the first post you mentioned the reservoir shocks being "over-kill". I'm thinking they are pretty much perfect for what you intend to do. It's not the slow rock crawling that overheats shocks, but the high speed washboard roads, and trails.
Just my personal opinion (we all know what opinions are worth ), I think that was an excellent choice. Now if you'd gone with a custom one off racing shock, specifically designed for how many beers you drank the previous week, then yes... that may have been a bit "over-kill".
If I get a vote, don't go flat or satin black on the wheels. To me it just seems way over done, and not near as photogenic. But again, that's just "my" opinion. Millions of others will rightfully disagree.
Maybe anthracite. Or if you go black, lay down a fine metalic silver base, and shoot a gloss black over that. Or gloss black with a pearl over top. That would still be understated, with a beautiful highlight from the sun. Then hit it with the 3M paint protector system.
It would keep the rim separate from the tire, which really makes a nicer looking vehicle.

Hey sorry I keep bugging you on the sector shaft brace , its just you're jeep is going to be using 99% of the same parts I'm putting on my Jeep.
I was wondering if you notice any rubbing between the sector shaft brace and the suspension coils on the driver side. I've been reading that this is a common problem with certain lifts and I don't know if it applies to the AEV lift.

Another small change ..... This build is all about the small details and being an understated off road performer. That's what I'm telling myself anyway.
Completed the change out of the Crome lugs with black slotted/Spline lugs and new Black AEV center caps with white buffalo highlights.
I ordered the Black AEV center caps and used touch up paint to create the black and white look
This will pacify me until I decide if I want to put the black AEV Pintlers on ...

The Synergy track bar and sector shaft brace keeps the steering gear box working right and the track bar bracket on the frame, even though my build isnt built for the Hammers e.g., extream rock crawling. The OE track bar hits the Synergy sector shaft brace bolt, so a JKS JK front track bar was installed.
That is straight from Dakota Customs who installed the suspension. Hope that helps

Small details -
Switching my silver lug nuts out for black slotted/spline lugs .. More secure and more of a clean understated look ... Next - red or black AEV caps to finish the rims off.

The rear center console looks really good and OEM. Can you post a link or more info on it?

The base build was completed by Dakoda customs Dakota Customs if you go to projects you will see my jeep. call them and ask them why they chose the set up they did. I dont know why they did but I can say i have had 5 wranglers and this one is by far the best handling on and off road. I cannot say enough good about the suspension .. for me its the best choice.

Hey my Jeep is pretty much going to take the same build setup as yours. Can you explain to me why these two items are necessary?
- Synergy track bar and sector shaft brace
- JKS adjustable track bar
From my understanding the AEV kit is built in a way that makes an adjustable trackbar not necessary.

Same with the front and rear bumpers.
You can buy the good for about 1000 bucks aftermarket.
