|willywaxer||It's the white fenders that throw the Sahara off. The OP said he had a 2010, so top is black.|

|InfernoGirl||Hmmmmm, that makes me wonder if they made nice squishy body armor, would my Jeep bounce off the trees, rather than scraping up against them?|

|haden1128||Poison Spyder offers an optional membrane that goes between your jeep and the body armor. I think they call it rubber body armor liners on their site.|

Thanks for all the responses!! My hard wheelin days are behind me, I have owned 3 CJ-8s over the years and now my only 4wheelin is done on the beach in NJ(LBI) and hopefully Assateauge Island soon. I do want to get black wheels for it. Should I get after market, or just powder coat the factory wheels that came with it. Also might do a small lift but do not want to change the ride and feel I have now. Does a small lift like 2 inches change the ride or feel at all? Like I said after 3 Scramblers my back really enjoys the nice ride. Sorry not a hard core not anymore but nothing is better than cruising the beach with the top down and the doors off.

|willywaxer||Just as an example, my wife's JK is white with black hinge covers, light guards, and cornerguards. She loves it, but recently had me remove the black windscreen supports (too much she said):|

|OregonTJ||you could join the team and add this to your rig......|

|InfernoGirl||Try switching the hinges as mentioned to black, add a black grille, and some nice black bumpers with red D-rings, black wheels with bsw out, tinted windows.... Black accents will really knock back the over abundance of white.. Nothing prettier in my opinion than an all white and black Wrangler, except maybe a totally murdered out one...|

When you add any body armor that goes over paint, you have options. One is to put sillicone between, and that'll keep moisture out, and protect the paint. Option two is what I do- spray-on bedliner the area in question. That way, it acts as another layer of paint to protect your factory color, AND as a bit of extra protection for the Jeep.
As for diamond plate, please, God, no! It really is the tackiest looking thing on Earth. Even in black.
As for the tape-on stuff, just understand that it is NOT permanent, and if you actually DO ever wheel it (guessing not likely), and it takes even a light hit, it WILL come off- Mark W.

I like white........I agree about adding body armor, it could cause problems under it.
Got any pictures??

|willywaxer||Bushwhacker makes black plastic corners that go on with the 3M tape. Also, you could rhino paint the hinges and grill black or install black accents from RR and others. Black fenders may help too.|

First post so please be gentle. I have a 10 White Sahara and I love the white, but its too white. I like the look of the body armor (black diamond plate corners and hood) but someone told me I should not use because it will damage the jeep by holding moisture and salt. If they are ok to install does the tape work well enough or should I use screws to hold in place? THANK YOU
