|Wattapunk||Normal idle for both 4cyl/6cyl is around 13psi. 40-60psi is usually the normal driving range. If you are not low on oil and no leaks and mechanically sound, you can swap out the oil sender unit to see if it helps.(near the oil filter)|

I have the same issue:
At long idle times last night oil pressure went to 0 and rpm went to around 300, just for a second, then jumped back to normal. I replaced the oil pressure sending unit as it is cheap, but haven't had time today to check it.(since it was so sporatic and i have to wait for it to warm up) Sorry man, I feel your pain.
Anyone know if RPMS on a 4.0 would drop and almost stall if the engine oil pressure goes to 0?

Would say take the advice of the peeps on the forum about the quick fixes. There are some very knowledgable and helpfull folks.
As for oil and oil filters you'll probably get 100 different answers but I use Frahm filters and high mileage oil.
I have 2000 Sahara as well but haven't these problems yet

6 cyl 2000 Jeep Sahara oil pressure and stall issues
Hello everybody, I just bought a used jeep for the first time, for my wife actually, and am new to jeeps in general. Its a 6cyl 2000 jeep sahara, with about 108k miles. The problem i'm having is that the oil pressure drops really low, to almost 0 when I idle, then goes up to about 30-40 when driving.
I've read through the forums and see that this appears to be common and a lot of people say that it could be the sender unit, oil filter, oil pan needs to be cleaned or the factory gauge, or a combination of these things (these are the main quick easy fix's i saw).
Just wondering if these fix's are indeed the best to start with and which one I should probably do first. Also, what is probably the best oil to go with and best oil filter to use for a high mileage jeep engine?
And for the stall problem, what is an average idle rpm for this jeep? It idles really low, below 1k at times. Is an idle adjustment cheap and easy or is this a symptom of something else.
