unlimitedT06 Put about 400 miles on it this weekend and seems to be alright. Still nervous as hell though.

unlimitedT06 Just finished installing new track bar and Currie Currectlink drag link/tie-rod kit. Getting alignment and wheels balanced tomorrow. Hopefully this will fix it.

Kate My track bar just started popping. Going to get it addressed today or tomorrow.

Hopefully you'll get it fixed without too much expense or difficulty.

I'm really glad to hear that your ditch encounter wasn't a disaster! Damn! That's scary stuff right there.

Tried that yesterday and appeared all my tie rod ends and track bar bushings are worn. All that is being changed out tonight.
The DW happened again on the way home yesterday so bad that it jerked me off the road into the ditch. Luckily it was filled in so it was flat.

Kate Have someone sit in the Jeep and gently rock the steering wheel back and forth, just enough so that it barely moves the tires. Not a lot, just a little.

Climb underneath and watch as everything moves. Look for abnormal movement. PARTICULARLY on your track bar.

I thought pitman arm helped with bumpsteer. Also I'm taking off work to get it aligned Friday.

jdhallissey You have 3 things to look at. Your steering linkage, your balance on your tires, then are your control arms square up front.

Mortalis5509 Drop pittman arm causes bump steer if added. Did you get the jeep aligned?

unlimitedT06 Kit didn't come with adj track bar or pitman arm. I bought adj track bar but haven't installed it yet. Guess I'll do that tomorrow.

Oswald If you needed an adjustable track bar, you need a dropped pitman arm, otherwise there's really no need. Make sure everything is torqued to spec and nothing has loosened up after driving it. I just installed this lift on my Jeep and definately needed a dropped pitman arm/adjustable track bar, so you probably should get one too. However, the problem shouldn't be the pitman arm, more likely the linkages.

A drop pitman arm is not needed. If you would have taken the time to type this and would have read the sticky all of your problems would be solved

Help please!!!

I know this has been talked about in many other threads but honestly I don't feel like reading through all those pages just to not find the answer.
I put a 3.5" RE lift on about a week ago and have been driving it all last week with no vibrations or wobbles at all. Well today on my way to work I hit a dip in the road (same one I hit every day last week with no problem) and DEATH WOBBLE!!!!! OMG I almost crapped my pants. My question is will a dropped pitman arm fix this or is it something else because I had already ordered one last week because I didn't like the angle the steering linkage was at. It only did it that one time but I would honestly never want to experience that again as long as I live.
