JIMBOX Most of the brackets can be used with any light, depending on the LIGHT SIZE, because the mounting bolt is almost always the same size !!

With the JK jeep, you nave to be careful the windshield brackets won't allow the LIGHT HOUSING, to interfere with the RADIO antenna !!!

My KC slims clear OK

phottomatt I have the Rugged Ridge windshield mounts and just bought a set of Hella 700FF, will post pics and review (albeit a layman's review cause I know next to nothing about lights).

P.S. the light mounts were an easy install, although I wasn't sure about the torque when replacing the windshield hardware (any info would be great )

Triel I've been thinking about getting lights on my jeep, and I remembered this thread. I was wondering the same thing as jkjeep06. Also how useful are lights mounted on the windshield? I noticed that most people are mounting auxiliary lighting on their bumpers vice windshield. Is there a practical reason for that or is it just cosmetics? Thanks.

jkjeeper06 I am looking into doing this to my jeep. Is there any downside to this type of mount? I am looking to really use the lights on them too. Maybe 5 nights a week. Plus I was wondering what Type of light is best: long range, driving, fog?

ncossey Rugged Ridge makes a set thats like 24 bucks, i have them on my jeep and they worth with any bolt on light.

jcharlson Yes, that is exactly what I am looking for. I wasn't understanding how they attached before, but now I've got it. So most of these mounts should be universal to basically all lights then.

Thanks, for the help, I appreciate it a whole heck of alot! =)

Kate The lights essentially bolt on through a hole in the bracket.
If you look at this illustration, at the base of the light you'll see that it's just a big bolt that goes through a hole.

I don't know why they wouldn't be pretty much universal. The only thing that might be different would be the diameter of the hole and of course fitment for the year/make/model of your Jeep.

Is something like this what you're after?

The KC brackets look like they would work as well.

Windshield light mount bracket for Warn SDB-160 lights

Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a windshield light mount bracket that can fit my lights:

Warn Industries - Off-Road Lights: SDB-160 Dual Beam

There is a link to their "L" light mounting brackets, however I don't think that's what I'm looking for. I am specifically looking for something that will allow me to put 2 lights at the bottom corners of my windshield, something like this:

KC HiLiTES 7316 - KC HiLiTES Windshield Light Mount Brackets in Black for 07-10 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

But I believe those are specifically for KC lights. I've found others that are specifically made for certain lights, and others that don't say any specifics, like this:

Windshield Light Bracket Warrior*WAR1517 by the Jeep Specialists | Morris 4x4 Center

Does anyone know what brackets I need to mount these things? Will the ones above? Will the KC ones work? Am I totally crazy and wishing for something that can't be done with these lights?

Thanks for any help! =)
