FULL tuneup, make sure your exhaust isn't leaking, bolts are all tight, new injector o-rings, etc.

Tuneup list:

Fuel Filter
Cap
Rotor
Plugs
Plug Wires (all 5)
If original coil, then might want to replace with a new one.
Air filter
Injector cleaner in tank
Check for any vacuum leaks
Replace O2 sensor
Replace MAF
New coolant
Oil change
Clean throttle body/throttle body components

And for the pre 1991 MPFI Jeeps:

PCV valve
Ventilation Breather Filter

Of course you might want to go through and re-do your vacuum lines throughout.

Otherwise, the 2.5L 3 speed auto is a horrible combination and isn't fuel efficient at all.

10huey 95YJ 4.0 MT / 4:10 gears / 8.8 rear end/ SOA 33x12.5 MT

If I'm running 93 octane and just figure my road driving I get almost 14 MPG. Less with 87 octane, for some reason my Jeep hates 87 octane.

But of course if i figure in my off road wheeling time probly less than 10...

I averaged around 22-23 this summer (compensated for the speedo being off) and am averaging about 21.5 since it turned cold. This is mostly highway commuting at 55-65 indicated MPH.
Your speedo is off because of 30" tires? Didn't think compensation would be necessary until you go like 31"++? I run 235/75r15(29") and average 16mpg, am I actually getting 20+ with said compensation? And how does one figure out how to compensate for this exactly?
