|cpainter56||Yeah I'm waitin on my copy too, gonna get started raping next week sometime, saving up for the white windowless van as we speak. I'll begin by targeting the children of republicans and Obama haters.|
|11-11-2010 06:41 PM|
I ordered two copies already. (I figured I'd wear out the first one in no time.....) Can't wait to get to work!!!!
Actually, there's no way I could boycott Amazon. I'm a Platinum buyer on Amazon. So, whether or not I (or any of you) think they're right or wrong (morally), I'll continue to give Amazon my money. I'm not quite sure why everyone is up in arms about this. There are FAR better battles to pick than this. Put your energy to use where it really counts. Like getting Obama impeached.

|bwdenman||I can't believe all the empathetic people on here. "If it doesn't affect me, who cares!". You don't care that our country is starting to fill up with perverts and pedophiles. It's getting so bad that someone can order up a, "how to rape children" book and people don't care.|

Selling a book about how to screw little kids should not be allowed in my opinion.
There's got to be common sense used here.
Kid touchers are the lowest form of life and anything or anyone that condones it should not be allowed to do so.
In this instance I'd focus more on the kid's freedoms than the ones who want to hurt them.

I don't think Benjamin Franklin would have printed a book titled "Pedophiles Guide". And I don't think any of our founding fathers would have approved of such a book being sold at the local book store.|

this is an issue of me telling you something is wrong and that you have to listen to what i say.
i do not support that whatsoever.
someone making a case for a boycott because they think something is wrong is completely fine and it's their right to do so, but if it turns into an issue that they NEED to do so, i'm saying that i don't NEED anyone looking out for my best interests, i can do that myself, as we should all be expected to. if someone wants my input or if i feel strongly about something, then i may very well give my opinion. but who is taking my word as gospel? i know i don't take anyone's word as such, i make my own conclusions.
if i were to have a bad experience with bestop and i shared that on here, i'm not FORCING anyone to do anything, i'm sharing my experience in the hopes that it will either 1. help educate people when they make a decision or 2. try as a customer to enact a change in your customer service policies. i'm not FORCING anyone into anything. if bestop wants to continue crap customer service, they certainly can by all means.
i have never dealt with your company, just using it as an example given you are who you are.

no one, including amazon, has told the author that he cannot publish a book like this.
|11-11-2010 02:36 PM|
|toshpate||agree. if you dont like the book, dont buy it. Otherwise think of it as a potential pedophile tracker ha ha|
|11-11-2010 02:26 PM|
When your church hired that new pastor that you didn't like, you started going somewhere else, and suggested that your cousins do the same.
When the corner store starting putting skin magazines right up front, you told them they should move them.
We vote with our pocketbooks all the time. We tell our friends about our decisions.
What's different about telling a big company that you and your friends won't shop there anymore, unless they change something?
*obviously, I'm using "you" in a generic sense.

|11-11-2010 02:19 PM|
Did you also not fight to protect the rights of people to complain?
This is NOT a Constitutional fight in any regard. It is a private business with upset customers.
Amazon has pulled the book.

Let Amazon sell whatever they please, if you don't like it, then don't buy it. I don't agree with a pedophile book, so I just won't buy it.|

|cpainter56||This is stupid, telling them not to sell a book is censorship, if someone is in the market to buy, they ought to be able to sell it without all you crybabies getting your panties in a wad. If you wanna boycott something, make it the retarded news station that this crap originated with, Fox is for suckers.|
|11-11-2010 12:11 PM|
|pokey||Amazon's statement "Amazon does not promote or support criminal acts" completely contradicts them selling a book titled "Pedophiles Guide". Pedophiles go to prison, and for good reason.|
|11-11-2010 11:54 AM|
It wouldn't be free speech if there was a line it would be limited speech. And who's the guy or gal who decides where the line is drawn? Again who cares what the book is about, if you don't like it don't buy it. They sell bibles and religious books to, bet they have created much more war and harm than a book about pedophiles ever could.
