Oh ok. I know its dumb to think because it costs more means it rides better. But sometimes you just got to assume that. Plus the difference in price is small so I'm already committed- 20 bucks is nothing at this point

csamn2007 He isnt saying hydros are better they have a different purpose. Nitros are built for more of a stiff off-road purpose rather than road friendly use.

Jerry, I'm not testing your knowledge here just trying to make sure of something. Are you saying the shocks in the Skyjacker Hydro package are better than the Nitro shocks even though the Nitro shocks cost more?

Again, just clarifying. I was going to get the Nitros because they cost more

D51_06TJ (Weight of Jeep / total max load capacity of tires) x recommended psi on tire = psi to run

You could get fancy and do it at each corner. I run 24psi in fronts, 21psi in rears on the street. This is on 33x11.5s.

monkeee2002 Yep, tire pressure can make a BIG difference!
The tire shop pumped mine up to 42 when I bought new tires. It was like having a steering wheel on a pogo stick!
Dropped them to 28, and now I have a much more reasonable ride.

Jerry Bransford Whoa 35 is way too high for a 33" tire, I'd be running nothing higher than 26-28 at the most. The air pressure molded onto a tire's sidewall is only it maximum safe air pressure for use only when the tire is maxed out on how much weight it is carrying. So the tire's sidewall air pressure is never the correct pressure to use. Try the lower 26-28 psi and see how much it helps.

DrCatcher Good stuff on both..
Tire pressure recomendation was 36 cold I put 35 in them yesterday... boinga boinga..
My shocks are Ranchos so there is another issue..
I will switch the shocks and lower the tire pressure..... walla..

JDsDream Listen to Jerry, he knows of what he speaks, but also make sure your tire pressure isn't too high. I'm not sure what would be proper for 33's, but I run 28psi in my 31's. It can make a BIG difference.

Better Ride Suggestions

I have a Road queen 4" lifted Wrangler Sport..
33's
Want the very best paved road ride..
Light loads always. Just me
Daily driver
If not springs.. what should I do??
