|dutch169||Mine broke on my 97. If you reach under the seat you can feel a lever or "metal whosit" and push it down. It will release the seat to fold up and forward.|

|InfernoGirl||You boys are funny! Look at either Stu's site or 4x4xplore, there's a nice write up on how to fix the cables.... Sorry I don't recall exactly where it is right now...|

|Dockman4||Thanks for the reply Atthehop. It's the passenger side. 2001 TJ. It's the little nylon hoop thingy (again with the technical jargon) that hangs out of the front of the seat that you pull to release the seat to move forward. I can still reach down behind the seat and release it by the little lever located on the bottom of the back of the seat, but what a pain.|

If you are talking about the lever on the side up near the top it pulls a cable down alongside of the seat to release the seatback. What year is it? I may have an exploded view of the seat in the parts fiche. I picture would help. BTW which seat?
A trip to Infernogrl may be worth the ride.

Quick Seat Question
I'm going to try to explain this without sounding like a complete mo-mo, so go easy. You know the little nylon doo-dad (technical term) that you pull on to release the seat and allow it to come forward. Well, if you know what part I'm talking about, it broke. Is there an easy (or any) way to replace that? I reached around in there and I can't seem to figure it out. I don't want to unstitch the seat because I don't live close enough to Infernogrl for her to fix it after I screw it up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
