So I went out and checked everything over and made sure everything was clean and still no start. Yanked the battery out and noticed that it was a Walmart battery and it had a big "3 year free replacement" written on the side. Date of birth on the battery was 06/2008. Another big sticker on the side said you must have your receipt to take advantage of the warranty. Oh crap, I bought this rig a few months ago so how am I supposed to have the receipt?
At this point in time, I didn't even know the battery was bad. Took it to Walmart and they put it on the machine and the battery was so bad that the test wouldn't even run its course. It shut down mid way through the test with a big fat "fail". Now I get my wallet out to pay the $77 bucks for a new battery but wait.............dude behind the counter sees the 3 year warranty sticker and then the battery born on date and says "we'll just have to get you a new one at no charge". I was expecting him to ask for the receipt but instead he said "nah, you don't need no stinkin receipt".
Sweeeeet!!! Could have been an expensive trip to Walmart but now Chancho is out in the garage with a brand new "free" box of juice in his belly.
Today was a good day!!

Check that battery connection again. Pull it off and make sure it's clean on the inside and the post is clean too. Do both battery connections. Check the ground strap connection. Runn the wire from the negative terminal to where it meets the block, remove and clean.
If that does not do it have the battery tested under load. Any place that sell batteries will do that for free.
Next step, pull the starter and have that tested. Same deal as batteries.

|Chanch0||How would that affect the headlights?|

Rig Won't Start Today
My poor Chancho wouldn't start today. A couple of weeks ago, I went to start this pig and when I turned the key....nothing. I checked the battery connections and noticed that one needed to be tightened. Tightened it up and started right up. Today I go out and put the key in and all I get is a click. Popped the hood and checked connections and still nothing.
The posts on the battery are in good shape and the cables are connected properly. I open the door and the interior light comes on and the chime rings when I put the key in the ignition. I tried to turn on the headlights and they would not come on. Turn the key and nothing. I don't know where else to look. Could it be the starter? Battery?
Thanks for any advice!!
