Most of you probably don't know that I have a house in Ca. Bayarea and NorNv Pyramid desert (Fernley), probably cause you don't like me and don't read my drivel
2 weeks ago I drove my JKU down the Sierras to Ca. and I averaged 15.77 mpg-(224 miles/14.2 gals)
Driving backup this morning-from sea level to 7000 ft, back to 4200 ft, I avg 13.36 mpg (225.9miles/16.7 gal gas)
Now, those FEW of you that do remember me know I could care less about mileage, cause this is a Nevada play jeep, not a DD, so
Here's the SPECS !
Avg speed 70 mph, 2000 rpm (OD)
With my big 33.2 Hankooks and 4.10 gears, I used cruise control and OD, all the way thru Sacramento, almost to Auburn-
The main reason for this adventure () is, because even with 4.10 gears, using the AEV PROCAL MODULE, I cal'd the speedo and "fooled" the tranny into thinking its jeep had 5.13 gears-
This made the shift points quick and the launch speed was like a 1st gear hemi (not really) and the jeep carrying me (190lbs) and 300 lbs of firearm/ammo/acc, was able to handle most of the Sierra climb without downshifting (no OD)-
So my point is that you can still operate your jeep JKU with 4.10 gears/auto/real 33" TIRES and if you're lucky enough to have a decent amout of FLAT LAND--you can still use OD and cruise control !!
