Gary2 I cut down a few of the accordion looking rubber bumpers sold on Qtec then drilled through them for bolt and then a larger hole part way through it to counter sink the mounting bolt. I them mounted them to the tail gate and trimmed off what was needed to fine tune the length. I think the bumpers were actually for a JK spare tire .It was cheap and it looked OE

Neil F. You can get them from any local spoorting goods stoore. Sport Authority, Dicks.... etc. Hockey pucks are 1" thick. What kind of rims or backspacing do you have? Your rims are 1.75" off of the stock snubbers?

4Jeepn Hockey pucks perhaps.. cut them to match the stock spacer and then, get longer bolts.. Or they do make an extender that bolts to the stock carrier.. though that places more stress on it and tends to bust is sooner..

Neil F. I need to push mine out about 3/4 - 1". Hockey pucks behind the factory rubber worked perfect. I forget what the metric thread is but I got the longer bolts from Pep Boys.

Bump stops for the stock spare carrier

I've got a 32" tire on the factory spare carrier and I'm looking to get some larger bump-stops to help it seat properly. I can't seem to find what I'm after on quadratec/google. Anyone have a link for these or a cheap/easy, decent looking way to fabricate your own?
