RubiRush There are alot of people these days that are buying not only Jeeps but 4 wheel drive vehicles for the first time. They have questions about what they can do to them and they want to learn how to enjoy modding them. Alot of people may not know how to search or what to search for so they ask a question on a board that promotes itself as being helpful to a common interest by a group of people.

I work in an industry where I have to answer the same questions over and over. The answers to these questions seem so simple to me that sometimes I think "How could anyone not know this"? The answer to that question is when I first started 20 years ago I didn't have a clue what the answers were.

The cool thing about reading these threads on a forum such as this one is that if you don't want to answer the question you can just close the window and go to the next thread. No where is it written that you have to reply with a comment that portrays you as a jerk. Although I have seen many times some people just can't help themselves.

Green Bay TJ Search function on WF is not that great. When I post a new thread I try to be specific in the name of the thread to try to help someone else who might have the same question and bothers to use the search function in the future. The members on this forum are great and I usually get a useful answer. Search function usually only works on words with at least 4 letters.

The saying around here is, "that's slicker than two foot up a cow's behind..."
...and that's directly attributable to Amsoil, thank you.

I agree. I hang around lots of programming forums and a "lurker" seems a lot more likely to become a poster if they can get their feet wet by throwing out an answer to a simple, non-controversial question they've probably seen answered 50 times.

Also, I think a lot of newbies finding the forum are probably new Jeepers, as well. They don't even know what they don't know (like me) and thus wouldn't know what to even search for. But by browsing recent posts that cover these simple things, we can start to pick up knowledge pretty quickly.

Les Mac I thoght this was a forum that jeepers could come togeather to answer questons about jeeps, who rely cares if someone post the same thread that someone has allready posted????? Of corse a bunch of the same questions will come up, what kind of lift should I get, what tires should I get, where's a good spot to 4x4, ect if we all are so anal about how many times the same post comes up, we should drive hummers, cuz jeepers are soppsed to stick togeather!!!!

Its not hard to tell the two apart. Praise the first ignore the second .. simple
You also have the people that arent smart enough to reply to the question

jk'n I chuckled when I read your cow comment. I was thinking about people and interpreting their intentions related to black and white rather than cows. But when you hit me with a cow that was funny!

You're a good grandpa, sir. Kudos.
Teach her how to smoke a pork shoulder properly next and you will have set her on course for being the perfect wife someday.

I must say I have gotten many respectful and amazingly informative replies to my questions (which I tried to keep long bus in nature)...which I am certain have been answered before in some fashion.
Thanks all. Feel free to smack me if I ask a knucklelhead question.
