MyYeep4 Cool, I'll take it apart n see if I can get the bulbs to just pull out. Do you remember which led bulb you used? And also did you do the bulbs behind the heater knobs, and if so are they the same ones as the gauge cluster? Thanks for the help

Ericrosenberg88 hey man, not sure if your still interested in this... i replaced all of mine with blue led lights, i have a pic if you want to see it done. i not only replaced the lighting with blue but EVERY indicator in the cluster with blue. no no matter what lights up its all blue haha. i can tell you that the bulbs DO come out, i had to take a safety pin and kinda pry and pop them out..they just pull out. if yours DONT, they do have on Super Bright LEDs ? LED Lights, Bulbs, and Accessories some ones you can order that will fit your jeep. they have the twist on kind that you can order any color pretty much you want. the ONLY other thing i'll tell you is that if you are just wanting to do the lighting behind the needles, then all you do is replace the bulbs with leds. if you want any of the other ones like i did, you have to remove the film between the black panel and the light socket, its NOT hard at ALL! took me like 5 min, but i took my time so i didnt crack anything. I can show you how to do all of this if you are still interested. let me know man i really like the blue look and it turns out looking really good!

MyYeep4 thanks, i read that thread before posting this one, beleive me. but all that anyone talks about in that thread is the models before my jeep (an 04 tj wrangler) and they all say that the bulbs are just wedge bases. the ones in mine are all twist lock, and the bulbs DONT come out of the base. any help?

Instrument Cluster Lighting

ok so im new to this forum, but anyway:
previously to my wrangler i owned a mustang (which i hated) and took apart the gauge cluster to replace the bulbs with led lights. the bulbs required for that were just wedge based LEDs. now i disassembled my wrangler's gauge cluster and theyre all twist lock sockets with non removable bulbs, and ive searched all over the web and cant find information on the exact bulbs i need. i plan on using to order my new bulbs from. could anybody give tell me which bulbs i need to order? also im going to be doing the same with the heater controls, which also are twist lock, but appear a different style.
