|mcgyver1467||The uneven wear is caused by the caliper sticking. More than likely its not the piston because that would cause wear to the inside. When you re-assemble from installing new pads and having the rotors done make sure you grease the sliders on the calipers. Thats more than likely where the problem is. From looking at the pics I think you should be able to have the rotors turned. Like was said above, they will have to be checked though.|

|T2000J||By the looks of that caliper i'd gess it's not sliding thats why only one pad is bad or piston is not moving in and out right ...No matter what do brakes on both sides and have both rotors cut the same if they have the room to be cut|

You will not know if the rotor can be resuraced until you have it measures with a micrometer. If the previous brake jobs, if any, were done by a brake shop they turn rotors even if they do not need it. I went 200k on four vehicles and never turn rotors unless they were scored like yours.
How much is the outer pad worn compared to the inner. Nothing wears perfectly and how you apply brakes makes a big difference. Stopping at the last minute causes weird wear patterns. My kids went through pads like they were butter. I get many miles becaues I coast a lot and do not brake at the last minute.

so i notices my brakes were grinding, got home, parked her in the garage.
looked at all the rotors, pads, etc. and its just the front left pad out. why the uneven wear?
and does it look like the rotor can be resurfaced? or is it too far gone?
