i have also heard that you can build a tube door using a Blazer/Jimmy tire carrier.

Geoff@Bestop The handles/latches are usually what trip people up. They end up with gate latches, and sometimes that just ain't right.

distortedtj Old S-10 blazer tire carriers make a great start to the door. the swing arm works nicely.

Homemade Tube doors. Anyone?

Has anyone tried making / fabricating their own set of half-tubular doors for their TJ?. I plan on doing it for as little money as possible. Maybe with a mesh net, padded top bar and basic latch. I love the change of making stuff for a fraction of what it would cost in the store.
