mhaines Welcome to the forum. While they are surely not Jeeps, "Samis" are a lot of fun off road.

Thanks!

Hey, thanks for the moral support guys. Even after spending hours on this search, I'm just as clueless as when I started. I consider myself something of a internet surfing expert (okay, read: obsessional addict, when I'm after something), and I've come up short here. Got a pm from Steve in Chile and he thinks I may be SOL except for something Japanese made. So if any of your have even a tangential idea on how to tap into some of the Chile jeep love that is all over the place--has to be on the short list of jeep destinations, right? or at least the medium list--I'd be very grateful. In the meantime I'll do the thing of reinsisting that I want what I want. It always amazes me when I'm asking people to take my money, and nobody can figure out a way to do it. Cheers, Mel

phantomofrussia Welcome. I am mostly guessing on this but here goes:

When they try to give you something else insist that you want a wrangler(they might just not have any to rent out really)

Search the net for a company that does rent them out in that area.

That is my best guess on how to help you out.

Greetings--I'm a New Member

Hello all, my name is Melissa and I'm a new member in Boston. Apologize for my breech of protocol in having replied to Steve from Chile before introducing myself to the whole group first. Got so excited when I saw a member from Chile and thought I could get some Wrangler help from him! My husband and I are going to be tooling around Chile for a week over the holidays and although we're not planning on doing any serious offroading, we would still like a Wrangler in case the spirit moves. I've been trying to rent one for a week now, and all anybody wants to put me in (Chilean companies as well as American) is a Suzuki "jeep." Does anybody have any advice for how to rent a Wrangler in the Santiago area? Thanks so much if you do! Cheers, Mel
