ayuh... wife's chebby checked in at a hair under 4 tons, and it would pull anybody out of anything darn near.

Down side was, when IT got stuck, it was shovel time...

You could always tell them that although you were not able to pull him out, if he were driving a wrangler, he wouldn't have NEEDED to be pulled out.

XJ Knight If you have the four banger and they have the six then that is why you would have less power.. Can't speak on the fire..

did some wheelin yesterday...

i noticed in my 93 yj it has a lack of power that my cherokee friends have. they all like to bust my balls saying b.c i bought a wrangler "barbie drives a wrangler" etc is the reason. Having just bought my jeep i have nothing to compare it to sincve i have never owned one before..

anyways i was wheelin yesterday and was trying to pull my friend out of a mudbog and i ended up getting stuck myself. A kid with a cherokee 3" lift, 32" tires pulled him right out. (i have 4" lift, 31s at the moment)

on the way home, im on the highway and my friends pull up next to me screaming, long story short they tell me my trucks on fire.

i proceed to pull over and get the hell out of there lol. turns out, leaves and brush got caught between my exhaust and body and went on fire and fell off as i drove. my one friend suggested that my cat may be clogged and is getting extremely hot..anyone else have this problem?

sorry for the long story, any help is appreciated
