Update...tightened the connection between the release bearing and hose yesterday. Still leaks like crazy. I think I am gonna have to cut and re-flare the end on the release bearing.
The only thing I can figure is that the flare on the end of the release bearing was damaged/changed by the "quick disconnect" when it was connected by the manufacturer.

Just did some more internet searches. I guess I still don't understand why I couldn't get a leak free seal after just removing the black quick connector and connecting the stock mc to release bearing hose directly to the new release bearing.
Does anybody know if the threads are different (they didn't seem to be), or if the flare angles are different? Perhaps I just need to replace the hose again and see what happens...

Hydraulic Release Bearing Question
Hopefully, someone can help me with a problem I have. I recently installed a clutch kit from clutchcity on my brother's 1988 Wrangler 2.5. The kit came with a new pilot bearing, clutch disc, pressure plate and hydraulic release bearing. Everything looked great, but the new hydraulic release bearing came with a black attachment that was threaded onto the side that connects to the clutch master cylinder by hose. Anyways, we removed this black attachment (it looked like some kind of quick connect/release thing) and the remeaing threaded portion on the release bearing looked just like the stock item, so we connected it up to the hose.
The problem we are having now though is that it is leaking at the connecting between the release bearing and the hose. Is there a different hose that I need to buy now, or do I just need to tightend the hell out of the connection to get a leak free seal? I'll try to post a pic of the black attachment today.
