weird shifting

whenever i slow at a stop sign or turn and then accelerate my jeep revs high before i get any drive, it sounds like i'm slipping a gear, since i bought the jeep it has always done that and its a 04 wrangler x. i just had it at the dealership and they said numerous times that there is no problem but i can feel that there is. some times after turning i get no throttle response until i let off the gas and step on it again. my warranty is out in 15,000 miles so i want to find the problem before i loose the by lifting it, could it be something other than the tranny
