The rollbar sits about two or three inches inboard, so yeah, rain will hit your neck. No props or spreaders will solve that problem (although they will help with puddling when parked).
Door surrounds are nice.

|jeepr||I ordered a best top bikini, and as far as the water build up i found a write up on a pvc bar to make the water roll off, but instead of going side to side, i was thinking back to front like spreader bars, so until I get surrounds, each corner doesnt soak me as much when it rains.|

|jbydesign||I run a best top safari with the door surounds in place I keep pretty dry... but with it attached to the cage forget about it! drenched! and it is tough to keep tension on the top to keep it from ponding... you can you the flopper stopper bow type deal to help keep it from becoming a swimming pool for sparrows!|

What brand of Bikini top did you order?
I got a Mopar Bikini off craigslist, and it does not work with the door surrounds - the velcro straps go right over the screw holes for the door surrounds.

Bikini top question
So I just ordered a bikini top for my tj, and I was wondering how sealed off on the sides it will be since I have a hardtop and no door surrounds.... would it be worth it to buy some surrounds off craigslist for like 50 bucks? or do they not make a difference. I know it wont be watertight, but I want the most rain protection I can get. thanks.
