if the driveshaft angles are only 0.1 degrees out of the specifications you´ll get some vibes.

one question:
did you loosen/remove the 4 TC bolts at the TC plate before putting in the BL/MML? if not that can cause bad vibes.
a buddy did that mistake...

tiny terror Let's see....... I don't have a 44, and just put in a little bitty teraflex 2in BB that didn't come with any extra bolts (but it had a sticker) and um...... what else.... the vibes are worse going uphill and........ I'm going to but the t-case drop back on tomorrow (it was only three washers so it doesn't really count anyways.)

nicolas-eric my skyjacker BB didn´t come with such cam bolts.
i prefered top lower the TC because on 2006 TJs drilling is required to install the cam bolts.
and i won´t need them anymore after may next step (8 adj. jks CAs, belkly-up, SYE).

compshooter The BB comes with new cam bolts for the rear axle. These are adjustable. Directions state to try them and then adjust as necessary to eliminate vibes. That is why they are included. Somebody (sorry, read fast) posted up a pic of the Pro Comp cam bolt directions. Mine is Superlift, but the concept is the same. Adjust the cam bolts and see if it gets better or worse.

FEI....5 speed and D35, since someone stated the auto and D44 don't play nicely with a MML.

You have a cam bolt, but I doubt if it's adjustable. I believe that was limited to 97/98. Your bolt probably goes thru the center of the spacers. Where as an adjustable cam bolt is offset so you can adjust.

tiny terror So the speed holes I added with the pickaxe were a bad idea???

nicolas-eric @tiny terror:
do you have a rear D44 axle? AND the 4-gear auto tranny?
then it´s normal that there are vibes with a 2" BB and MML.
i still need some washers with the MML to avoid vibes.
a friend told me that the D44 and the 4-gear auto tranny are very long. that´s why the rear driveshaft is very very short. and that´s why lifts cause more vibes than with the manual tranny and a rear D35.

here´s a pic where you can see how much i needed to drop the TC plate with an MML.

with these screws you can change the angle of the axle. that may also fix your problem:

06-15-2007 05:31 PM

06-15-2007 05:09 PM
AzTJ when you say cams, say the whole thing, Cam Bolt..... when someone says cam, they are usually refering to a camshaft.
06-15-2007 04:46 PM
Triple88a i thought you can use those to get rid of vibes.. there was another user talking about it in another thread.. I thought i might give it a shot here..
