|jmurle000||here's the best jeep advice i was ever given....drive it until it tells you to add something, then add it. don't add anything "just because" unless they're super high power lights or you just have extra money laying around.|

Howdy, y'all. I just picked up my first Jeep. It's a '99 2.5L with about 500 miles on a rebuilt motor. A couple of noob questions, if you don't mind:
First, what should I do during the initial "break-in" period on the engine? Valve adjustments? Tightening the valve cover?
What's the preferred maintenance manual out there?
I've got a couple of finicky zippers on the soft top. What's the best way of forcing them into submission?
Electric fan set-up: worth it, or not? (I live in Texas).
What's a good source for a fan-speed control rotary switch?
Also, what's the consensus on full synthetic oil?
Any and all advice greatly appreciated.
