Jeepchic70 There sure are alot of Wranglers in Texas! I've replaced both my bumpers and they are sitting in the garage. I'd be willing to sell.

Bryangb7 I live in North of you in temple and might be willing to trade bumpers with you if u want...mine is stock and was looking at getting something with a hitch

pokey Shipping would be too costly. Check craigslist, there's always stock TJ bumpers for sale.

vekrause I'm in San Antonio, not sure how shipping a bumper would be here.

And for the record, I DO NOT plan on towing anything with the Jeep...

The owners manual list max towing capacity is 2,000#. If he tows a 4,000# trailer I would stay in front of him so when he loses it it is behind me.

Question is, does the stock bumper bolt right up? or are there brackets I will also need in between bumper and chassis? All the pics I find don't show the backside of the bumper.

Thanks all
There are no brackets needed. They bolt right to the frame. Where are you? I'll sell you mine! They're out in the garage as we speak.

As for towing 4000lbs, I think all of you nay sayers are misreading the OP's post!
