binaryking Just keep in mind that your flares bend instead of just breaking. I run the bushwacker pocket flares, and personally I think they are too rigid and everytime I brush a tree, I fear for them breaking.

If you're going to replace the flares, or fenders, just go with the tube fenders. That's what I'm gonna do when the money is there for it.

penguin_in_a_cj go for making it a flat fendered man it takes them outta the way and its easier to repair when they get azz packed

no mirrors, no windows, tires not covered, illegal bumper...

i think it would cost about 1500$. additional the drivers license would be gone for 6 months or a year.
i think i would never see that jepe again...
06-18-2007 04:18 PM
Scout I'm just guessing here -- but I doubt that thing is a daily driver.

btw one of my friends got a warning for having a air freshener on his center rear view mirror. The cop pulled him over and came up to him and was looking around the car, just thinking of something to brag about and he choose the air freshener.

MR.CLIFFORD Not a buddy. It is another jeep build up on Pirate that I really admire. If my front axle didn't have to be pushed out so far in the front I would have cut up my hood too!
06-18-2007 02:53 PM
AzTJ That looks sweet. I like how the shock hoops come up through the hood.

Is that a buddies rig Mr.C?

Welp, here where Jeeps are manufactered, if some azz hat starts shooting at us while we are driving down the road, most people would just shoot back

Just kidding...

His hood isnt cut, but I agree 100%.

2000Apex- Rhino lining does fade. Even with the UV stuff, it fades, and you would have to do the rhino lining dye stuff. Judging by the smell of it, and the instructions from rhino lining, I can't see that stuff being good for the paint :really:
06-18-2007 10:36 AM
2002Apex I prefer to get my fender flairs rhinoed. It prevents sractching and never fades.
06-17-2007 11:08 PM
AzTJ Yes - Tube Corners are the rear set.
06-17-2007 10:56 PM

05-20-2007 09:40 PM
MoA yes im talkin about the flares.. and yes i do have a sahara.. i got the goldish tan color.. and its extremely noticable.. and its not the problem that they become scratched.. its that they bend and crack n crap =/ ive replaced my front passenger fender flare 2xs already.. gettin expensive..

sumone told me they thought sumone made rubber fenders.. taht would be sweet compaired to the plastic ones..

and yes sahara fenders are the same as the rubis i think

and red.. ud like my jeep

goldish tan.. with the forest green and tan interior.. and a tan hard/soft top..

its sweet =D only other jeep id drive with be black on black
05-20-2007 03:12 PM
RedRubiTJ Jack, the Sahara's are as wide as the Rubi's (at least Eric's painted LJ flares are). They are both wider than what is on the SE, X and Sport. I agree that the painted are prolly stronger and even scratch less easily (clearcoat) but from what I've seen the scratches aren't as visible/noticeable (unbuffed) on the black unpainted. It does vary a great deal by color though. An advantage to the painted is they can be buffed out if done properly and given the right color combo/rig they often look better IMHO (I really like painted flares in combination with a color matched top).
05-20-2007 02:50 PM
1BLKJP Red, I have a Sahara also and I'm pretty sure the flares are the same width as a Rubicon's flares are. I actually like the Sahara flares because they are stronger than the stock flares and help protect my fenders and body in the rear.
