debruins the kit isnt what does it, it is the bigger tires, and basicly you dont have enough torque to keep going in fifth gera, so it can only be used on flat or down hill, you will still be able to get up to 65 in forth, but it wont be as fuel effecient b/c youll be at a higher RPM, there are only three things to do, 1.suck it up, 2.regear (around 1K) 3.use 32's not 33's,

do you know what gear ration you have now? if it s a rubi ul have a 4.10 which will do fine, a 5 speed, should be 3.73 which will be okay, but if you have the auto you have the 3.07 and you will NEED to regear, but if your worried about using fifth gear i assume you have a stick so u will be ok

willtjx the super flex kit works well but the long arms will give you a much better ride for a DD. i have the 3.5" SF kit and next upgrade is gears and after that a long arm upgrade kit. i will probably do the LA kit when i go to 35's (i am running 33's currently and they are pretty new so LA will probably have to wait about 3-4 years)

Brian V Im wondering if when im going 55-60 and I shift to 5th for my highway speed, will I be able to hold my speed? I usually hold 65mph on the highway. Or is 5th gear worthless all together?

02 sahara When I say loose your 5th gear I mean not have enough power to be able to shift into fifth, your rpm's will drop and you will have to down shift back to 4th. The way to fix that is to change your gearing, but that gets expensive!!! Its not that bad and I rarely use my 5th anyways unless i am out on the open road. someone else might be able to explain this better

Brian V Loose your 5th gear??? Can you explain.

02 sahara Don't see why not, this is my DD. I just got back from taking it on a 5 hour trip each way and never had any problems. That was all highway driving! The only downfall is depending what size tires you have you might loose your 5th gear like I did. I dont mind it and figure I can wait to re-gear when I get some money saved up.

Brian V Kinda pricey but Im really thinking about it. Would this be ok for a DD that gets driven 25miles each way to work on the interstate?

debruins looks really good!

02 sahara I went with the deal that 4x4groupbuy.com has for the RE 4.5 SF with the free SYE and Tom Woods drive shaft. It was $1500 before tax and shipping. Here is a link to the site:
